Some examples of MEMS devices include a gear, polar placement array of a cell, spiral path, and segmented spoke. A very cool thing you can do is make MEMS devices be animated by using tcl to iteratively set a parameter of the object. For example, animating a group of 3 gears quickly shows the gears will not mesh well. By adjusting the gear slightly it now meshes ok. Zooming makes it easier to see. Note all these animated gifs may take a moment to download and some browsers will not show the animated gif. You may need to save the file and use gimp to show the animation by loading the file and then use the Gimp menubar Tools->Animation->Playback.
